We hope that you enjoy your stay in our home. In Crystal River there are many things to do. We would love for you to experience a little bit of everything during your stay, but most importantly have some R& R. Listed are a few things you may to need to know about the Casa Dos to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.  

Television:

We are on Digital Cable. Music channels are in the 400 number ranges.

Kitchen:

We do not have a garbage disposal. We are on a septic system, so be aware or your disposal of food and paper products. Garbage pick up is on Friday’s.

Outside Deck:

All outside patio furniture that is outside upon arrival can stay outside. There are extra chairs, and beach chairs that can be brought out on the deck or taken to the beach. Please just remember rinse them off if brought to the beach, and bring them in from the deck so they will not blow away into the water.

Places to See:

The State Archeological Park is just down our street and to the Left.  The State Buffer preserve is a little further down the street at the end. It is a nice walk for yourselves and with your dog to Mullet Hole. Homosassa is not very far. They have a wonderful facility called Homosassa Springs. 

Shopping:

There is a few quaint little shops downtown off of 19 and the Crystal River Mall is just up the street on 19.

Dining:

There are numerous places in Crystal River to go locally. We have also ventured  to the outskirts of the area and have found some nice places on the water that you can visit during the day for lunch, or early dinner.

  • Crackers- (Seafood) –nice, very casual dining. Park on the left side of the building and go out back to the Teakie Hut. Close to house on 19.
  • Charlie’s-  (Seafood)- nice, very casual dining. ***Charlie’s also has a seafood market that is really nice if you feel like cooking and staying in. Close to house, next to Cracker’s on 19
  • Cody’s- (Steaks & Seafood)- nice, very casual dining. A little further on 19 South Left hand side.
  • Wine & Cheese- ( Seafood-Steaks)- nice, casual dining. A little further on 19 South, Right hand side- in shopping strip mall.
  • Margarita Grill- (Tex-mex,- Seafood- etc ) live music, great Margaritas- A little bit of a drive but worth it. Take 19 to Ozello Trail- on Left hand side
  • KC Krump’s- ( Seafood- on the water) Great for lunch or early dinner. A little bit of a drive as well, but worth it.  Take 19 to Ozello Trail into Homosassa  follow signs for restaurant.

Beach:

There is a Public Beach at the end of Fort Island Trail. Take 19 S. towards the Plantation Hotel & Golf Course. Turn R of Fort Island Trail, the Plantation will be on your right. Go to the very end of this street and the beach will be on your left. It is about 8-10 miles or so.
